Athletics at Holy Family Academy: Cultivating character and resilience through Christian values both on and off the field.
At Holy Family Academy, athletics isn't just about physical prowess; it's a vital component of our holistic approach to education. We prioritize the development of our students' souls, minds, and bodies in that order. Our athletic programs are designed to complement our academic curriculum, fostering character, teamwork, and spiritual growth. We believe that through prayer, discipline, and sportsmanship, our students learn invaluable life lessons that extend far beyond the playing field.
Our commitment to athletics begins and ends with prayer. Each practice session starts and concludes with a moment of reflection, reinforcing the spiritual aspect of our program. While we strive for excellence in competition, our ultimate goal is to nurture young Christian men and women who compete with integrity and honor. Our success is measured not only by wins and losses but by the positive impact our athletes have on their communities and the values they carry with them throughout their lives.
In our Lower School, from Kindergarten to 5th grade, we provide opportunities for all students to engage in both unorganized and organized recess activities. These activities not only promote physical activity but also instill values of teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship from a young age. Our emphasis is on creating a positive and inclusive environment where every child can explore their athletic abilities and learn important life skills through play.
At Holy Family Academy's Upper School, our junior high (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students participate in a range of competitive sports. From boys soccer, basketball, and rugby to girls volleyball, basketball, and soccer, our students have the opportunity to develop their athletic talents while upholding Christian values of integrity, respect, and perseverance. Our coaches emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, guiding our athletes to compete not just to win but to honor God through their efforts.
