The Catholic Faith informs all that we do at Holy Family, and indeed is the reason for all that we do.
Here are a few of the practical ways that we live the Catholic Faith during the school year:
- Our school day revolves around the daily Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
- We end each day with the Holy Rosary or the Divine Mercy Chaplet
- School begins each day with a Morning Offering
- The Angelus is prayed at noon
- The school observes meatless Fridays each week
- Outdoor Stations of the Cross are prayed every Friday in Lent
- Prayers begin each class
- A school-wide St. Andrew’s novena is prayed each Advent
- Holy Family is closed on all Holy Days of Obligation
- Second graders participate in a Saturday retreat
- We organize annual upper school retreats for boys and girls
- Evening talks or lectures by outside speakers are held on faith topics
- Athletic practices and games begin and end with a prayer
- The 11th and 12th grades go on a pilgrimage to Rome every two years
